All donated items should be scheduled for drop off at 1111 University Avenue in Des Moines. Cash and Gift Cards: For your convenience, cash donations are accepted online. Pre-paid phone, grocery and gas cards are also always in need. Household Items: Linens, cookware, dishes, small appliances, luggage and cleaning supplies Children's Items: Books for all ages, school and art supplies, board games, dolls, dress-up clothes and cameras. Personal Care and Baby Items: Shampoo, deoderant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, tampons, diapers, wipes, (new) beauty and (disposable) medical supplies. By donating any of the new or gently used items listed above, you provide a gift that makes a lasting difference to the more than 17,400 individuals served by Children & Families of Iowa each year.
