Volunteer Opportunities
The success of many CFI programs and events relies on the participation of many caring and generous volunteers. Helping hands are always needed to help process in-kind donations, serve as mentors to at-risk teens and children, help at events, provide training to victims of domestic violence, serve on event sub-committees, and much more.
Steps to becoming a volunteer:
1. Review the Volunteer Handbook.
2. Complete and submit one of the Volunteer Applications (see below). Applications can be can be emailed to Children & Families of Iowa's Volunteer Coordinator or submitted to Children & Families of Iowa, Attention: Volunteer Coordinator, 1111 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50314.
3. Our volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss opportunities and your interests.
Individuals
If you have a particular talent, skill or interest you would like to share, or would like to volunteer with a specific CFI program, complete and submit the Individual Volunteer Application.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
CFI has opportunities for groups of all sizes. If your organization is interested, please complete and submit the Group Volunteer Application.
Donation Drives
New clothing, household items and personal care products are always in need. Coordinating a donation drive with your office, church or club is a great way to support the mission of Children & Families of Iowa. View our Wish List for ideas.
