Behavioral Health Intervention Services
Support and Solutions so you can Focus on Therapy

Sometimes it takes more than office visits to deal with your child's severe emotional and behavioral issues. Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) are a voluntary service that offers tools and support to families so they can create a supportive environment at home.

Children & Families of Iowa has qualified Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) therapists available to do assessments and evaluate the need for BHIS. Services are available in Des Moines, Ankeny, Fort Dodge, Osceola, and Ottumwa. Staff have extensive experience in working with children, youth and families referred by DHS.

  • Real-life solutions for dealing with family conflict.
