It Takes a Village ...
Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
At Children & Families of Iowa, we are grateful for all the thoughtful, committed citizens who are doing their part to change the world by giving to Children & Families of Iowa. Small gifts and large, all of them make a difference.
Some people give because they want to "pay it forward." Others are inpspired by our compelling stories of hope. Still others simply want to donate to an organization they believe in.
Whatever your reason for giving, you are helping us restore hope, build futures and change lives. Never doubt the impact of your gift and its ability to change a life.

In the Spotlight

Ahlers & Cooney has made it their mission to build stronger communities that benefit many local families. Their first volunteer activity was part of United Way's Day of Action. Fifteen Ahlers & Cooney employees painted and cleaned at various CFI facilities. Their employees have held donation drives and recently, 10 volunteers from this company spent a day at the Child Development Center working on exterior projects. All of their hard work ensures that the children at this center have a safe, clean area to play outside.
Ahlers & Cooney regularly brightens the holiday season for CFI families. Last year, in addition to adopting families for the holidays from our mental health services, they also provided gifts for 20 youth at our Cornerstone Recovery program.
CFI also has the privilege of having Nathan Overberg, Shareholder for Ahlers & Cooney, serve on the Foundation Board of Trustees. He is an asset to our board and we appreciate Ahlers & Cooney for their ongoing partnership.
